Hamilton Putnam Two-Tone Applied Gold Numeral Vintage Antique Wristwatch Dial

$ 0.52

Availability: 100 in stock
  • Type: Dial
  • Condition: Dial was recently (mid-to-late May 2021) refinished by International Dial Company of Tucson, AZ. I was informed over the phone by the head of their production team that the hard enamel is starting to fail, which is why the printing in the subdial appears fainter than it should, and it is thus being sold completely "as-is." Some of the glare in the images are tricks of the light (e.g., the solid 18K yellow gold numerals are as bright and shiny in "real life" as the tail of the 2 in 12) or reflections off the plastic bag (e.g., the round white shapes on left and right) in which the dial is stored for protection, but the printing is faithful to actual condition.

    Description

    Up for auction is a two-tone silver, applied gold numeral hard enamel dial for a Hamilton "Putnam" model vintage/antique wristwatch. Should theoretically fit any 6/0 size movement in the 987/979 family, though the 1933-35 Putnam "should" have a 987-F (or, very rarely, a 979-F).
    Dial was recently (mid-to-late May 2021) refinished by International Dial Company of Tucson, AZ. I was informed over the phone by the head of their production team that the hard enamel is starting to fail, which is why the printing in the subdial appears fainter than it should, and it is thus being sold completely "as-is." Some of the glare in the images are tricks of the light (
    e.g., the solid 18K yellow gold numerals are as bright and shiny in "real life" as the tail of the 2 in 12
    ) or reflections off the plastic bag (e.g., the round white shapes on left and right) in which the dial is stored for protection, but the printing is faithful to actual condition.
    No returns will be accepted. Payment is expected within 3 business days unless other arrangements have been agreed upon prior to auction end, after which time non-payment will be reported to eBay.
    Seller will cover shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Dial will be packed in aforementioned plastic bag inside of a tin or plastic box for added protection. Alternative or premium options (e.g. UPS, Express Mail) may be negotiated prior to auction end, potentially for extra cost, so please ask early. US shipping addresses only, please.
